Dana chairs the Metropolitan Campus Ministry Council for the Portland area and works with two other congregations and three college campuses to provide a Unitarian Universalism connection to students. She will provide insight on how to create sucesful and sustainable campus ministry programming in a cluster – and I think those of us who do not work with clusters will also benefit from learning more about what’s happening in Portland. The webinar will be on Tuesday, April 10th at 3pm EDT. Please note that this is an hour before we normally meet….

The Young Adult Leaders Roundtable discussion is the newest venue for UU young adult leaders to support and connect with one another. Across the country, UU young adults are engaged in fascinating groups and projects, yet they often can feel isolated. Who, they wonder, is doing this work except me? Where to I turn for inspiration or guidance? The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries has heard this need and will be hosting monthly YA Leaders Roundtable conference calls. We embrace a diverse vision of young adult ministry that recognizes young adults find religious connection in a wide variety of ways: small group ministry, activism, theological inquiry, congregational leadership and YA community spaces or conferences,…

The 2009 Mosaic Report, the Youth Ministry Working Group Reports and the Youth Ministry Advisory Committee (YMAC) all call for us to better support UU transracially adopted youth. Join Rev. Dr. Monica L. Cummings, UUA program associate for ministry to youth and young adults of color, for a free webinar on Transracially Adopted Youth Ministry to better understand the…

We appreciated your feedback that although mixing up dates and times might enable more folks to attend Campus Ministry webinars, the lack of regularity probably causes most of us to forget about online events or prevents us from being able to plan to participate.  So we are are going regular: The 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 4pm EST are now dedicated to the development of our campus ministry community of leaders! Training Tuesdays –2nd Tuesday of the month at 4pm Eastern time Monthly Webinars at which a presenter discusses a topic of interest (ie, service opportunities, addiction ministries) and opens up the topic for conversation amongst the whole group….
